Hectic life

Just got back from Singapore yesterday, and i'm going to Genting tomorrow. Just a little short update here for not letting my blog becomes dusty. I'm super enjoying my hectic yet ease life for now. Well, i should enjoy my leisure life to the max before i go for NS and start my college. ONLY 3 WEEKS LEFT!!!

Learn, Cook, Eat


On the past few weeks before, my mom brought me to a cooking academy, Cilantro's Open Day. She saw this on the newpaper advertisement. Not because she wants to send me there for study, but for me to learn some cooking skill work since i am so so free now everyday rotting at home.

Once we reached there and sat down, a staff from there asked me to fill in a form. Soon after, a consultant came to us then explained all the courses programmes and the fees to us at the first moment. I was like, "What? I never plan to study here also, what for explain to me so much bunch of nonsenses?" My mom was like keep on "Hehehehehe" smiling at her, idk what's her mind thinking to arrange my further studies. -.-

Blah blah blah, my expression showed how reluctant of listen what she saying. After the discussion, she introduced a 4 days CDP(Career Discover Programme) to me. We will learn 4 types of cuisine during the programme which are Malay cuisine, Chinese cuisine, Western Cuisine and Pastry. It is for those students that are unsure to decide study in Cilantro, to make sure they are really interested before they enrolled in it. The deposit fees will pay back and they will charged a part from it IF you don't want to enroll and continue your study.

Hence, finally my mom signed up that programme for me and said, "4 days only ma. Go play play also good what." So i agreed. I have interest in cooking, but definitely not becoming a chef in the future. If you want me to cook and take it as my hobby, i'll take it. But if you want me to cook as my career for my whole life, oh please! No way. I don't wish to stay in the kitchen for the rest of my life.

On the first day, i was alone stepped into the academy centre. Everyone seems like bringing a heart of considering wanted to study this course or not, but me is coming just for fun. Lol.

The first day, we learnt to cook Seafood Fettuccini Noodles. We mix the ingredients with flour and knead the dough by ourselves to make the pasta. It is such a valuable experience for me!

Comes with the seafood ingredients, Dory fish and prawns. And then start to cook!

We seperated into 3 groups. I am in group 1 :)

TADA! Cooked by me! Served with few pinches of black pepper and cheese powder. Tastes not bad. First time cooking pasta hehehe.

HE LITERALLY COMPLIMENTED IT TASTES DELICIOUS! Muahahaha

We bought a cup of pearl ice-blended here. Tastes so yummy and the pearl is so chewyyy! Why Pyramid don't have this? :(

SECOND DAY

We make chicken sate! We blend our sate sauce as well too.

This is the chicken sate we marinated overnight before the day.

Grill grill grill~ BARBEQUE-ing.

DONE! Served with rice, cucumbers and the sate sauce.

After break time, play doughs time! Awww.. My loves again. :)

He commented, "Leavening with concentrated attention with patience while wait for her love to rise and her sweetness fill with the bread. To knead, use her both hands to press and shaped it into LOVE SHAPE with red bean(fortune&happiness). Before our loves is undergo fermented."

How sweet? It is a very happiness thing seeing your beloved one eat and feels happy with your own cook/bake food okay! *omg satisfied*

THIRD DAY

We learnt to cook Hainan Chicken Rice. My baby's favourite haha. We make 3 types of sauces which are 2 different kinds of soya sauce and 1 chilli sauce.

She is our CDP instructor, Chef Lily. Very nice and humour person. :)

We bake butter cookies after that. Dough time again! Hohoho. I love making pastry than cooking actually.

LAST DAY

MUFFINS!!! :D I love this heheheh. 3 groups make 3 different flavours. My group making Chocolate Chips flavour. Nyom nyom nyom

I very enjoyed myself in these 4 days honestly. I learned alot in many ways of cooking. In the guidance of chef, of course i can cook very well. But if you want me do it again myself at home, that might be stumped me with a mess haha. Well, i can try. Shall take a time to do it. Practices make success! :D

Someday i will open my own cafe/bakery shop/restaurant, perhaps. Muahahaha *dream big* :P

Chatime lover

So fast it's already mid of April! Gosh, time flies like a speed of light. More a month i have to go for National Service already. I got the letter few days ago and checked thru the internet also. I've sent to Kuala Langat, Selangor camp and the date is on 15th of May. This is truly real that i can't escape anymore. I thought i can find my college faster and enroll it to skip my NS, but my mom asked me to go for it. After back from NS only go for college. :(

Well, i knew this is already a fix plan for me since i've chosen for 2nd batch NS. There's good and bad sides for me actually. Good side is i can discipline up myself over there, become slimmer and at least i have an experience of become an "army" before in my life. While the bad side is, it's very late for me to enroll in college, that is might be in August or September intake. Sigh.

Back to topic. Last Saturday my cousin, Cheryline organized a steamboat+BBQ party at her house at night. It's also an earlier birthday celebration for her too. So me and boyfie went to Sunway Pyramid to buy present and have our lunch. :) I'm thinking what to eat and Pepper Lunch was on my mind actually. When i'm on the way heading to Pepper Lunch, my mind changed after i saw this.

You shall have a try on this, especially for those pork lovers! Let me teach you guys a new word. Pork in malay called what? Answer: Lembu kaki pendek. LOL. I learnt this new word from a chef at the cooking programme that i joined few days ago. Funny right. :D At least sounds better than BABI.

If you can't handle it, you're CHICKEN.

After ate the ninja, we craved for Cone Pizza. Ken fall in love with it after the first time he ate that. I always bring him to eat delicacy foods that he/we never ate before. :P WE LOVE TO EAT.

I'd actually ate this before at Italian Cone Pizza @ Puchong, IOI boulevard. It's merely similar, but just that Sunway Pyramid is a stall selling few flavours of cone pizza only.

We ate this 2 weeks before. 2/4/11.

And then we loitered around to look for birthday present for my cousin. While we were shopping, we bought some donuts at Dunkin Donuts to eat. Oh my, we ate ALOT that day! My boy is getting esurient after together with me. Still remember last time when we just started together, his stomach is so narrow and i have to help him finish up his leftover food! And now? My turn to give him my unfinished foods. :P

After choosing and picking, matching and hesitating, at last we decided to buy a handbag for her, since i heard she mentioned she wants a new handbag before.

Add with a nice birthday paper bag for packaging! Done!

Chatime 1st day newly opened in Sunway Pyramid! We have to queue long for order and waited 20 minutes to get our drinks. Fuhhh.

And you know what, I SPOTTED A NEW CHATIME BRANCH OPENING AT SS15 SOON! Just beside of Snowflake. Lol there is such a competing area. Various of desserts and cafe opening there such as Snowflake and Tutti Frutti. All are my favourites! But the car jamming and parking problem is definitely a BIG NO LIKEY. :(

Straight go to my cousin hse after shopping. Didn't took any foods pictures, but only the birthday cake and the birthday girl. :D

Her actual birthday is actually on tomorrow. She's my closest cousin that grew up together since we were in childhood. Our relationship is closer than cousin, i treat her just like sister. We talk, we laugh, we cried. We enjoyed and acted like a crazy when we had fun, we comfort each other when we were upset and cried. She's the best in my heart. I love her. :')

A'famosa + Melacca + Seremban

Heyyyy i'm back to blog! Like finally. I get to grab my time to blog about my 2 days 1 night trip, because my job on this weekend has canceled. I was forced to work on that job actually and i reluctantly accepted it. It's a good thing that i don't need to work on my wonderful weekends. :D

Okay, start my story. This trip can consider a food trip, because we were eating non-stop! We went station by station, seek for nice foods, and makan makan makan. Eat is a happiness. Eat when you can, and enjoy when you're alive. That's why i love to eat. :)

I always say that, "We live to eat, not eat to live." Haha correct? :P

We went to have Bak Kut Teh for breakfast at ss14 before we start our journey. Awesome, it's been ages i never eat this already!

Reached A'famosa at about 12pm. We straight go to Safari Animal Park first, because the villa have to check in by 4pm.

Suddenly heavy rain falls. We ran back along to our cars under the rain! Well, that was embarrass, but FUN! :D

Checked in, get the key, back to our villa with wet bodies. After settled down our luggage, then jump down to the swimming pool! HUHU :D

Went to Cowboy Town at night. Nothing much to see. The show is boring, because i'd went here few years ago. The performances is still in my mind, i'm not interested to see it twice.


- SECOND DAY -


Checked out in the morning, then straight head to Melacca town! We ate Chicken Rice Balls for brunch at Jonker Street. Never take any picture of it due to we were too hungry that time. :/

We seek for satay celup but we can't get to eat at last because mostly satay celup shops only open at 5pm onwards. We can't stay there for too long and have to rush back for our journey. Sad case. :( So we headed to Seremban to buy siew paus and have our dinner at there before back to KL.

I bought half dozen of siew paus, some durian egg tarts and few pandan tau sha peng. Nyom nyom nyom yummy (Y)
